Irresistible Offer (EN)
Are you overthinking and overcomplicating your ads to a point where they miss their target completely?
Grabbing the attention of high-speed dopamine scrollers and actually getting them interested in your stuff might seem like looking for the needle in the haystack.
But it really doesn't have to be.
There are plenty of businesses that utilize their ads effortlessly ever since they found out what I’m about to tell you.
So in this brief article, I will reveal to you the secret to making your ads bring you fantastic results.
Let’s dive into it.
The Speed-Dating Problem
Imagine taking part in a speed-dating event. But you only have 10 seconds (of the candidate's attention span) to impress them with your charm.
You will lose all matches if you have bad questions… or looks.
What is there to ask in 10 seconds anyway?
You might also get another chance to talk to them. But you blow it off the same way.
So what are you going to do? Tell them how cheap, and jet good you are. You tell them that you’re only available for a short time?
NOOOO… That’s a horrible idea.
You just tell them who you are and ask for their number?
Not as catastrophic, but still very unpromising. They’d have to be crazy to give their number to a stranger they just met 10 seconds ago.
The Low Threshold Formula
So how to keep in touch with the lady in red? We make her give us information about her that she doesn't really mind giving us in exchange for something that is of value for her.
Now back to business.
We don’t ask our audience for sensitive personal information. BUT we do want to stay in touch with them. We use a low threshold.
Just to be sure we’re on the same page, here’s what a low threshold is NOT:
‘Hey, type in your phone number and we’ll get back to you’
or…
‘If you liked this ad jump on a 30 min zoom call with me’
… oooor …
‘send me a letter via mail and we’ll send you one back’
Offer them a valuable piece of information (in the form of a video, a guide, or whatever makes sense in the specific case) in exchange for their EMail address.
It takes less than 10 seconds to fill it in, and brings them value.
And not entirely coincidental … brings us results for future measures.
So as a guitar shop we might want to offer them a guide on tuning the amplifier, or cheat sheets on guitar sides in exchange for their email address.
Or as a restaurant we might want to keep them updated about your weekly lunch menu in exchange for their email address.
Or as a street-food truck we might want to tell them the next locations for a culinary vacation…
…You see where I am going with this.
People love information, and even more so if it’s free.
It’s rooted deep inside of them. The curious child that wants to know the unknown, learn a new skill or just be informed on what's going on.
And that’s what we can provide. As we become the trusted source for information about whatever your business is good at.
And Why Do We Do This?
Not only have we gained their interest, and brought value to their life, aaand took note of it.
We also started a relationship with our future customers that we can build on.
We can ask for their time or their phone number later on, when trust is established.
Because every good relationship is built on trust.
There’s plenty of ways to do this and it’s doable for every single business, yours included. If you want to know how we would do this in your business, get in touch with us today.
See you soon,
Benni
